Who can become a Member?

NFFA has three levels of memberships and is open to any Nigerian within or outside the country that organizes or hosts a film festival or has the intention of convening a film festival

– Full membership of the Nigerian Film Festivals Association

will be open to all Film festivals in Nigeria or organized in diaspora

Whose primary aims are to nurture, promote and/or celebrate professional practice in film and where they have held at least two (2) editions of said film festival.

Associate membership is open to Film festivals based in

the Nigeria or organized in diaspora with not less than one (1) edition of the festival.

Trainee Membership is open to aspiring Film Festival Organizers who intend to organize a Festival.

Membership Process:

1. When seeking to join the African Film Festivals Association
2. Eligible Film festivals should complete an online or hard copy application form (in which case the application is to be forward to the Secretariat.
3. The Membership Sub Committee will determine the credentials of the applicant and recommend for approval to the Executive Committee to accept an applicant or not, and to confer the relevant status on such an applicant i.e. full, associate or trainee
4. The Executive Committee may request additional Information and documentation (to the membership form) in order to make decision about membership

Membership fees

1. Members will be required to pay an annual subscription fee set on a sliding scale according to a range of factors as my be agreed by the Executive Committee.
2. The Steering Committee may set or waive annual membership fees as In consultation with the General Assembly.
3. Membership Fees shall be based on membership category

3. Your application will be reviewed and a member of the committee will reach out to you about the next steps.
